Just because the walls are up doesn't mean the building is done.
One of the most common mistakes students make is thinking that once they hit the word count, once they hit that magic "save" function, they are "done." This couldn't be further from the truth. Once you finish your draft and you receive feedback on it in the editing process, it's time for a little demolition and reconstruction work.
